Naruto Shippuden 231 The Closed Route, is the continuation of the Naruto Shippuden series.
From the last Episode Naruto Shippuden 230 Revenge of the Shadow Clones. Another filler... well here it goes.... before the opening song its Tsunade talking to Shikamaru and his dad Shikaku. Tsunade is telling Shikamaru will be in the frontline and she is counting on his sharp intellect. After that scene it appears that Shikamaru is restless and that has been noticed by his father Shikaku. So Shikaku recommend Shikamaru for a supply mission and ask him to see Naruto. So Shikamu with Tenten meet Naruto, Aoba, Guy and Yamato and the rest of the crew in Mukuzu island provide the them with the supply. As the go back to voyage towards the Land of Lightning. However, as soon as they set there sail a fog grows and gives them a zero visibility, then the compass becomes unstable then Guy seems to be not having a seasick anymore. Then there are bolders on the see which is giving them a hard time steering so Guy crush those boulders however a large bolder is ahead and Guy was not able to crush it so Yamato used his wood technique to avoid that large bolder and as soon as they avoid the bolder a large whirlpool on the see came out so Naruto used his Massive Rasengan to distroy the large whirlpool. That incident happens 3 time so Shikamaru think it over and on the fourth time the let there ship through the whirlpool. It appears that they are just circling over and those obstacles were man made. It was the residents of Mukuzu Island that is causing those obstacles. And that was Shikamaru has figured out. At the end of the story the rest of the crew is back there voyage. And Naruto has thanked Shikamaru for his Intellect. I think that is the one that Shikamaru needed from Naruto since Shikamaru is kinda pressured about what Tsunade have said in the start of the story...
